Exhibition organized by the Foundation for Art at the Banca Profilo headquarters in Rome is a visual process that unfolds through the works of 28 artists: Carla Accardi, Agnes Questionmark, Carlo Aymonino, Bea Bonafini, Carlo Busiri Vici, Giacinto Cerone, Gabriella Ciancimino, Gino De Dominicis, Iva Drekalovic, Marilù Eustachio, Giosetta Fioroni, Silvia Galgani, Renato Guttuso, Klara Kristalova, Ketty La Rocca, Maria Lai, Urs Luthi, Emiliano Maggi, Birgit Megerle, Valentina Palazzari, Lamberto Pignotti, Antonietta Raphael Mafai, Lili Re ynaud Dewar, Giuliana Traverso, Renzo Vespignani, Nanda Vigo, Andy Warhol and Gustave Courbet, from whose work – L’Origine du monde – the exhibition takes its title.
The selection of works proposed by the Foundation for Art experiments with the possibility of showing the vital plot hidden behind the female presence in the work of art by combining the external vision, the result of the observation of a male gaze, with internal introspection or the creative expression of women themselves.
Banca Profilo returns to make space for artistic project ideas to support, enhance and promote culture.
